Introduction
In this assignment I will be eventually creating a 3D animation which is at least 3 minutes Long. The animation is based around Science-Fiction and roughly has to revolve around a 'prison ship taking criminals across the galaxy when disaster strikes.". Through out this assignment there will be several tasks showing how I generated the idea for my 3D animation and How I Produced the animation using Blender's software tools.
In this task I will be using secondary research such as images to help inspire me. I will be including a moon board with a explanation on why I picked the image. I will be citing any sources which I have used in my research.
Research
Because the animation is based on science-fiction I have been researching films or series which have a similar genre. For example, the most popular sci-fi film has got to be starwars. I've been watching clips from starwars to help inspire me and duing the scenes I noticed that starwars uses music to add more of a tensed, errie effect. The space ships have futuristic elements within the cockpit although the overal look of the ships are usually modern, clean and bright. They are not always exergerated and over the top.

During my research I found this image with several spaceships from star trek. I Like this image because the space ships look more futuristic and more unusual. At this moment in time I dont know If I want to create a spaceship which looks modern or more industrial and unusual.
Now I have a few refrence images to help inspire a design for the 3D spaceship Model. I Want to find images to inspire what the 'criminals' in the spaceship too Look like. Im going to be looking at characters from popular movies such as starwars, alien vs predator and prometheus. Im not too sure If I want these criminals to bee a ugly, disturbing alien or to be a alien which looks human? Below are some refrence images which I have found whilst secondary researching.
I want the animation to begin in the cockpit and I also Want the aliens to be locked up or sectioned in a room similar to a prison. in this section I will be researching images to help inspire what these scenes may look like.
